While many area custom builders use a hired foreman or hired "builder" to oversee the construction of their custom homes, each Thackery Custom Home is a one-of-a-kind custom personally managed and overseen by our president. Our building philosophy is to build each home as if it were our family home, with careful consideration of each decision and an eagle eye for detail regarding areas that most people will not notice—details such as how the building envelope is sealed and what’s behind the walls once they’re covered up. It’s what’s behind the pretty finishes that creates the home's integrity and quality, how the foundation was prepared, the support and precision of framing, how the windows are set, flashing, taping and carefully sealing each wall penatration, and the type and quality of wall and attic insulation. These are some of the most critical aspects to building a high quality, high performance home.
